Hearing lies and truth which are the same I close my eyes to all the wrath And try to block out all the pain Gingerly, frightened, I step blindly Not knowing where this all may lead But my arms are open and I act kindly Though my heart may bruse and bleed Frightened, jaded, I trust in fate To mold my soul for what will be The day that love walks through my gate And the veil raises so I can see. |
