Yes, you're right. I'll lighten up... I'm not in the Keys anymore

My boss just called. They are going to speak with the HR director about getting me into the building where I will have my own room. May or may not have my own bathroom, but that can change later on if not.
They want me to get there by the 14th or sooner. |

Oh wow... Not a lot of time
No, I told him I'd like to give two weeks notice, he said 10 days should be good. The Y is very dead right now anyways. And I'm sure 10 days will be fine with them, I'll just tell them I'm needed back home... which is true

Sounds like you've already made up your mind

I didn't really have a lot of time to think about it. But I figure if the CEO of the resort, the resort manager/assistant to the CEO, and my old boss want me back... that's a pretty good indication that I'm highly valued and so yes, I'll go back.
I'm sure I will be able to train in other areas as well. I will be able to get around easier down there. And... My muscles and joints will love me long time, It just makes sense right now. Take a year from traveling to get my health back in check, figure out what I want to do and bask in the tropical weather at a world wide known iconic resort... Lots of rich men and famous people come there too I'll be able to save more money too. Everything is extremely expensive here. There's public busing there and I'll have my bosses car available to me. And health care through the company rather than the government. |

It does sounds like the right choice for you.
And I know how expenses it is there Aspen is even more so. Only you know what's best for you |

Thanks KitKat I don't really know if it's best. I have friends at the resort, I'll be 40 miles from the toxic environment (that's a good thing), and will get health care and a job for as long as I want... or until the next hurricane, lol.
It just makes sense for the next year or so. Depending on others here for rides every where will eventually get old and it will be nice to be more independent. And to go swimming outside where the sun is shining. There's an employee pool, cable and WiFi in the rooms, a weight room, three meals a day and the food is like fine dining compared to the processed stuff I'm eating now, the dolphins are right there, And as the concierge... I get perks all over town so I can tell the guests about it.. Okay, I'm more convinced My biggest concern was the toxic environment 40 miles North. But since I will be living at the resort, I can handle short visits to see the family. |

sounds like you just talked yourself into it
And 40 miles is a good buffer... Just stay away, be "conveniently working" and unable to visit... Till you are ready to tackle it |
Yes, and the good news is my sibling finally lost her ability to drive, so she can't visit
I know that sounds horribly cruel... long story! Hopefully now she'll get the help she needs. |
