You can set limits to who can message you in your profile settings by age, distance, etc. That should cut down on a lot of unwanted spam messages.

I am experiencing the same annoying situation. I have selected the age bracket that I am interested in, but the system continues to permit access to my profile. Just not interested in young men.

Your profile can be viewed by anyone but as you've set your mail filters only those who fit your criteria are able to contact you. But de these ones who are outside someone's mail preferences are getting smarter. They send friend requests and include their message in that request. Happens to me all the time. |

My filters CHANGE constantly to outlandish numbers. In fact, I had to reset them twice today. All I can think of is that the data system doesn't work. I also am getting tired of 20 year olds.
