Only time I ever caught a carp, was when I was a kid living in Kearney Nebraska. I had ran out of bait and had to wait on my brother and our neighbor that took us fishing with him all the time... So while waiting, I went walking down the bank and found a bunch of corn. Figured hey at least it is something baited my hook and tossed it figured I would let it go to the bottom thought I would get a catfish... Well I sat for a few and before they lost their bait I had one on my line.. Took me a bit to get it in I was 12 at the time.. Neighbor said it was the biggest carp he had seen in a while.. We actually took it to a family that knew how to cook carp and gave it to them on the way home..
Myself I love to go Striper fishing and to me it has the best taste... |

I catch carp all the time. They love dry dog food. I toss it in then just get my net ready. We have so many on our lake you don't even need a pile to catch them if you used dog food.
My favorite to catch are Bass and Catfish though. I fish everyday at my dock after work just to relax and unwind. |
