Topic: Is there any problem dating a partner older than you are?

We all tell the truth here? That’s news to me. I’ve always dated younger men but it just happened that way, it wasn’t planned. I am now dating someone my own age for the first time but I don’t think I could date anyone older than me. Especially not 10 years older.

Happy New Year Rosie. There are two things that determine who you can date. Yourself and another person willing to enter into the social construct known as dating. (It's seldom I get to use terms like "social construct")

Is there any problem dating a partner older than you are? Retirement homes are loaded with women who are older than you.

What I have taken from this thread is that the old adage that "age is just a number" might be true.....but it's a number that matters to a lot, if not most, people. Everyone has preferences, I respect the preferences of others even if I feel those preferences are unrealistic. Personally I prefer to date women who are smart enough to not date me....it presents me with quite a perplexing quandary!!!
