This is a fun little ditty I've been considering trying to turn into a children's book or something. It's just a fun peice.
I never felt so deep asleep as I did then at dragons feet From his lair he slid with ease spying me among the trees teathered to a blackened stake betraying me, my knees did shake "Madam, why pass you here?" said a large voice very near "They offered me as sacrifice, hoping a maiden would suffice!" "A maiden!" cried he into the blue "Now what am I to do with you!" "Eat me" I said resignedly. "Then let the villagers be free" "Eat you!" he cried again and again "Why I am a pure vegitarian!" "Go home you silly creature" he said "I have no need to be so fed" "I am afraid, I cannot comply" with a twinkling tear in my eye. "Why not?" said the dragon looking at me "you see" I said "They just dont want me!" "They sacrificed me without any care, criticised me from my feet to my hair, and gave me up like an old worn out shoe and hoped that I would be an offring to you" The dragon sniffed. The dragon sighed. And then, right then, the dragon cryed. "That is so sad!" he said to me, "Come now you must live with me!" He cut my bonds, and then I rose and I kissed him right upon the nose. Then with a whoosh as quick as you can the dragon turned into a stately man. He took me to town and married me quick And all of the peasants frowned at his pick untill they saw me in heavenly white and then they saw true beauty's delight And I slept with him that night all my thoughts pinned on delight I never felt so deep asleep as I did then at dragons feet |
