I suspect that aliens / UFO's were shooting long before humans even invented projectile based weaponry.

one of the ones that come to mind is , i think its India (if i remember right) one of there god's had a bow that when shot, it would make a loud rumble and would take to the sky's with a fire behind, and would hit any where on the planet ....

they did try with the Vimona's (flying towns)as well as the roman's with there flying cheriot's as well as many other's that went from ground to sky or sky to ground

And then there are the mole people that live in hollow Earth that are far more advanced than us surface dwellers.
And lets not forget about how when Atlantis sank its inhabitants learned to breathe underwater and became merefolk.
Plus there are Nazi's living on the Moon and are plotting an attack on us poor Earthlings.
Not to stress that aliens and UFOs are really travelers from a future Earth coming back in time to collect specimens because their genetic code is corrupted and cows are extinct.
