Hi
My daughter bought me a air fryer. I was reading through the manual and it says I should blanch certain things before cook inng them. Is it nessasary? I didnt realize how small these things were... I dont think Im gonna be able to cook very big meals in it...was hoping it would replace my deep fryer. Any tips? Suggestions? Recipes? |

I definitely recommend one of those, it broke eventually from over use. Definitely 100 times healthier than a deep fat fryer, and oil took months before a bottle was finished.

I used to have one too and loved it. I never blanched anything before I cooked it but maybe yours is different. I would recommend them and will get a new one soon. Thanks Delightful! I probally wont blanch chicken as it says to. I searched a few recipes online for airfrying and none of them mention blanching. I always soak my potatoes in cold water though if Im making french fries. I dont add salt though...family adds enough at the table! |

Just bought a AirPowerFryer a few months ago love mine.. I take stuff right out of the package season it and put it in there..
Have never soaked anything just season and cook you just have to adjust times on how long at times to cook things.. Love mine.. have not used a deep fryer in over a year.. due to went to baking everything instead.. So with getting the AirFryer everything is so much easier when it is just me to cook for.. Chicken breast seasoned comes out really good and moist once you find the time you need to cook it.. Frozen French Fries right out of the bag comes out super good and crispy.. I even cook my biscuit, crispy crown hash browns and thick bacon in mine all at once.. Cook for 8 minutes take out the biscuit and then cook the remaining for another 4 minutes.. Just finding the correct cooking times is the key cause the times they give is for a bigger potion then just for one...On meats I cut the cooking time in half then added time till it was how I like it done when I cooked something for the first time.. |

ok Txsgal, thanks for the advice! I'm looking forward to trying things in it. Chicken is definately one of them. I do normally cook for up to 3 people so I'll have to do some fanangling when I cook

Got one a couple of weeks as well. Battered fish and chicken comes out lovely ... and home made sweet potato fries
