Being attracted to or put off by a screen name seems a bit silly. I tend to be attracted or repelled by the person using that name. Even if the name has "negative" connotations it doesn't typically get my attention in a bad way. It's their lookout. If someone wants to sound cheesy or like a 70's porno movie, whatever...
However, a name invokes stupidity, hatred, or ignorance is truly a turn off. |
