Zach.... start off telling her how much you enjoyed reading her profile. Ask about her job, talk alittle about yourself (ie work, school, family), maybe make a joke about something she said (try to play it cool) and ask her if she wants to talk somtime and that you hope to hear back from her. Hope that helps you out some. Richard good luck and work tonight and dont work too hard... Im off to a christmas party! Have fun bear! |

Here's what I sent
Subject: You DO seem like a great catch... do I have what it takes to reel you in?
I must admit, your profile was an impressive one - from the fact that you work with people with special needs (as do I) down to the search for other intelligent life forms that read books and enjoy intelligent conversation. Well, and your pictures are quite cute too! I am Zack, I live about 15 miles northeast of Ravenna, I work in Kent, and I go to the RAC in Ravenna 5 or 6 days a week. I haven't said a lot about myself in my profile, but I would be happy to say more if you were interested in hearing it. The summary is this: I'm 24, I graduated college, I now work at a high school with autistic young adults, I'm looking forward to starting grad school next fall, I love my dogs, my motorcycle, and the outdoors. I'm intrigued by the idea of a museum date, did you have any in mind? Hope to hear back from you! Fisherman Zack (the museum thing was one of her ideas listed for a good first date) |
Awww, I hope she likes it! (In other words, I think you wrote yourself a pretty good e-mail sir ^^)
Who knew you had a motorcycle and were a fisherman |
Thanks Ange (would you prefer I call you Liz?)
I do have a motorcycle, I guess I've never mentioned it huh... I'm only a fisherman in the sense that she stated she was a great catch... so I'm going to throw out my line and see if she bites |
OOOH haha awww! That's even better! So cute.
Ummm...*shrugs* lol. I'll respond to both. I just figured that a screen name in French was more interesting than my real name |
Don't be hatin' on those that use their real name
Hopefully she does respond... we'll see. She does seem right up my alley |
If I had the first name Zachary I would use it I've liked that name ever since The Zack Files...I miss that show sometimes
I think I should start sending out more interesting e-mails...Maybe that's why few respond? Well, some respond, and I'm making some friends, which I likes...but the ones I feel like I could fall for don't respond Maybe it's better that way? |
I am not usually one to send out an email... in fact I've maybe sent out 4 or 5 ever on a site like this.... you gotta seem pretty special to get one I guess
Interesting emails are hard to come up with... then you wonder if the email is too short, or too long, or too cheesy... it's a mess really, which is why I send out so few |
So true! I feel like people don't want to be bothered by a long e-mail where I ramble on aimlessly...because I can be really good at that...so I try to send short e-mails filled with happiness and no hard feelings. Or if I find someone with a funny/random thing in their profile or picture I'll send an e-mail commenting on it. Like this one guy went to school in Maine and I was like whoa, we're playing Maine today in basketball and it turned out he was the sports editor (We totally kicked Maine's butt =P) I'd like it more if more people responded to my random e-mails...it doesn't mean you have to hold yourself to a friendship with me...just acknowledge that fact that I noticed something interesting!
That seems like a pretty good email strategy, really... if people don't reply it's no big deal..
I could totally go back to sleep already |
I don't even have the argument that you should stay awake and chat with me because my pizza break is up and I have to get back to work! Bleh. =(
I'm not so much bothered by no responses...but I do like seeing that there's mail =) |
Work is no fun!
I should read a book or magazine for a bit... which is probably what I'll do soon... I also like to get email, unless it is something that I'm not sure how to politely respond to |
Aww, well aren't you the little heart breaker =P
No!
but how do you respond to something like this "hi your pretty cute... tricia" first of all, the your/you're thing kills it for me, then she really isn't what I'm looking for anyway... I mean.. responding to that politely is difficult! |
Maybe she thinks your possession of pretty is cute =P
You do have a good point |
I have a sweet tooth.... but I don't have anything sweet... hmm..
Maybe I should just eat a small dinner |
