it wont let me see who's requesting to be my friend, page says it's Most likely causes: The website is under maintenance. The website has a programming error.

Looks like they are in the middle of major changes. I'm sure things will get back to working when they are done. Hang in there we'll see what they have in mind when the dust settles.
