I don't just wish for powers. I take steps to continueously to obtain it.
For an example, Christ Jesus in
Acts 1 v 8 promised his disciples Super power of the Holy Spirit ,however,they would need to take steps through prayers to obtain it.
''....but ye shall recieve power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be mine witness''....

raise the dead,know the past,present and the future,healing, deliever men and women from evil bondages of the devil

Try this...
Live moment by moment.
Each moment, Look at the reality happening before you.
Find something good in that reality.
Concentrate on the good in the moment, right now.
Put away worry, if you can't do anything about it right now, what good will worry do? When you can do something about it, act.
Put away the expectations, If you can't do it right now, do it when you can.
Stop pining for unobtainable things. Make a list of goals and keep track of your progress towards them. Celebrate your sucesses.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Things happen.
Get control of your emotional state, nobody can do that for you. Its easier than you might think.
Don't expect others to follow your expectations. Realize they are people too, with their own life moments.
Stop living to others expectations. Be yourself, Live your own life.
Be true to yourself, why would you be otherwise?
