my antivirus will not let me use face book video and voice chat , says its a virus

i have heard many people complaining about facebooks data mining (as well as many other programs)as well as turning on and off there devices when they are not being used
(its just what i heard no idea if it is real or not)

a lot of it they brush off as oh well we are just looking to see what adds to post for you

another one i heard was someone using there video chat and voice chat and talking about cat food .... and later started getting adds for cat food , even though they dont own a cat and never went to any cat food www company's
(again was told this one ,as well as seen a youtube vid about it, never tried it out)

as for myself , i don't use my cell for that and i dont have my cam or mic plugged in when i am not using it

just remember , everything you put on the net , stays on the net
