she made it out there for 28 days and God gave her back to me

yes .. I am safe and well tribu ( I am in New Zealand ) .. the fires in Australia were distressing for humans and animals .. such destruction and tragedy . New Zealand sent firefighters to help out . Likewise when we had the earthquake .. mosque shootings And White Island eruption .. Australia were quick to send help . It has been a challenging year for both our countries . It helps to know we can support each other .

Having you back is like a breath of fresh spring mountain air . Have missed you too xoxo

for some reason i thought Australia instead of new Zealand, still it makes sense :) i will never ever forget 2020. what a year. at the new year evening i said to my mum "i don't want 2020, i do not feel good about it" i must heave felt it coming. knowing my beloved ones here are safe, i feel good.

i am at the southern part of Turkey, not the big city, "oludeniz" area is where i am
it did not spread to here much
we had just 2 losses in the town and 8 cases. now it looks like we have none.
but i am keeping myself in lockdown, strict quarantine
i will probably be like this till the end of this year.

tourism has started
now people are rushing here
tourism may start second wave which now will hit the south, coastal areas. hope it does no happen.

anyway we have better things to talk about

We are in lockdown but it is staged ... at the moment we are in alert level 2 (4 was the tightest when only essential services were allowed). Level 2 saw schools .. non essential services and retail reopen ). We still practise social distancing and hand hygiene New Zealand is doing so well . We only have 8 people with covid now and no evidence of community transmission . We can travel domestically but our international borders remain closed . Likely to remain closed for a long time ., though we are looking at reciprocal travel with Australia when it is safe to do so . We are lucky that our size and Isolated geographical location played a big role in our success . It is too early to say we have eliminated covid ., until there is a vaccine or herd immunity no country can really claim that . Sounds like you are safe in your little paradise too:-)

Have not seen beach farmer in the forums for a long time . Maybe he will reappear wearing his Santa hat lol.

here, social distance is so much advised as all countries, but as i am not going out for 74 days, i couldn't observe. news says istanbul people do not care about it. sad.. here we did not have stages. everywhere was just closed. by 11th they started opening malls part time, hairdressers and barbers (how essential!) schools are anyway at summer holiday. but! we have the very big exam here to allocate teenagers to university. and that is still a question mark. we are a very funny country.ironic..
