I sometimes come across interesting words that make an impact to me and try to understand why. Do you have one? One that is different from day to day?

Parallel universe : a hypothetical or fictional self-contained separate reality co existing with ones own.

Always thought it was funny that it sou ds so close to scummy but means the opposite. |

Forever - Because no one I ever hear use it seems to grasp the fact that forever encompasses an unmeasurable amount of time and not a finite one.

Umami, something other than sweet, sour, bitter, or salty.

Anxiety : the feeling of worry, fear or nervousness about something that is happening or might happen in the future.
This is a big word for me today as I relate it to my being skeptical too. I may have to unlearn this one soon |

Ironic : happening in the opposite way to what is expected and typically causing wry amusement because of this.
Typically the irony of things is that we never know it till we really know. |
