Well I could have if I hadn't said anything, lol. Now I gotta work
I just heard from the Island Inn on Monhegan Island. They will let me know by the end of the week. I've applied for the off the grid place in Alaska and a dude ranch in Wyoming this morning. I'm getting ready to apply at another ranch in Denali National Park, Alaska...that's not off the grid This is starting to get exciting! |

Cool,
I'm just telling you though, the native Alaskans are nut jobs.. LOL! wouldn't you be with some messed up weather like they put up with? |

It's a fishing lodge. Some of the Captains are from Florida, not Alaska.
And just because some might be crazy, doesn't mean they all are. It doesn't matter anyways, because I'm going there to work, not play. The website looks good, it's a family owned business. Just applied for the other place in Alaska, holy cow that was a long application. I'm going with places that feel right to me, so far doing that has served me well. It worked with this job, and the two I met from this site are pretty cool too. |

Go with it.. just watch out for them brownie's up there...
You can have fresh salmon, and king crab.... umumummmm.. |
|
|
|
I guess I'll leave it up to the Universe to choose the right place for me. One of the five will most likely hire me.
This job I have now was one of two applications I sent out, so that's pretty good odds. It's grizzly bear country, but that's fine. Lots of salmon fishing and hiking. In a way I wouldn't mind going off the grid for a couple months, although it will be tough. It's my least favorite of the one's I picked, but it's beautiful there and I got a good feeling watching the video. |

Double posted. The site's acting up a little, least on my laptop it is. No, it's being funny. I guess if you drop off the grid we'll hear from ya when we hear from ya. Once I'm back on the water, I may be scarce myself.. |

Once I'm back on the water, I may be scarce myself.. Well it wouldn't be until June, so if it happens, I'll let you know. I kind of need something before then so chances are that job won't happen. |

Hi Pieces!
Moving to Alaska? |
|
|
|
Hi Rob,
Not sure yet! I'm applying at various locations for seasonal jobs. I can stay with the YMCA but would like a little more earning potential this summer. It will give me a chance to take care of some long over due business, which will open up more opportunities for a decent job. I'm looking at a lot of different areas. |

Okay, thanks that's good to know. It could definitely effect the tourist season and fishing. I'll look more into it.
