Topic: A matter of attraction. | |
---|---|
Why am I most often attracted to men who never look at me twice? I thought one might be receptive, and when I was going to talk to him about my interest, he brought another girl to that gathering. That nixed that chat. They are not together, but he is contemplating "going down that road" as he told a friend at tonight's gathering. So I don't think I'll mention it to him at all.
The other guy I find interesting and attractive is really really interested in a friend of mine. So much so that he leaves every gathering in a bad mood because she is always with another person. One she is not dating but is dating. That is an long story I'm not going to go into. The end result is that I seem to like the guys that have no interest in me other than friendship and never look twice at me. Bleh. |

Well, the one interested in me happens to be 20 to my 37. He is a cutie, but he also smokes pot and I don't do drugs. So that combo kinda made him less appealing to me.
Not to mention the 19 year old that was trying to pick my up a couple months back. And then there is my friends father-in-law. He is older than my own father. So that kinda creeps me out.... |

and not to mention he is practically a baby......lol......seriously what would you talk about????

Pokemon. There is so much better out there. Bleach. Trinity Blood. Deathnote.
When someone is born the year you graduate, that is too young. People who talk about something from 5 years ago as "old school" are probably too young. |

Very true.
He was obsessed with every woman's boobs. Then he fixated on mine. Which might have made sense if I wearing something like my corset. But I was wearing a fairly conservative button-up blouse Still, he was a bit better than the three times divorced man who couldn't stop saying boobies all night. |

People who talk about something from 5 years ago as "old school" are probably too young. I refer to Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell as old school. They're from 1993 and 1995, respectively, so maybe not THAT old. Akira (1988) and Mobile Suit Gundam (as early as 1979) are probably better examples of old school anime, especially as far as the American market is concerned. |

Been there...done that...got the Pokeman cards to prove it Moondark.
Seriously though, I know this feeling all too well. In fact, I am willing to bet many on here do. Sometimes we want someone and they just keep wanting someone else. All the while, you are standing right in front of them wanting them to notice you and they just don't see you. I mean, they do see you, but they are blinded from seeing your interest. "sigh" Maybe I should just become a monk and go celebant. Forget this whole dating and sex and relationship thing (and no, not in that order, lol.). |

Highly doubtful the pups would even care about having conversation with you. It's sexual, not intellectual. |

so uh
yeah if this thread doesn't prove my points, i dunno what will. Nice guy: OMG YOURE SO BEAUTIFUL! CAN I PLZ PLZ LICK THE CRAP OFF YOUR SHOE FOR YOU? I'LL BUY YOU A DRINK!!! PUA: Yeah, you're beautiful, but beauty is common. What are some things about your personality that would make me want to get to know you better? You want a drink? OK, you buy the first round and I'll take the second. |

Highly doubtful the pups would even care about having conversation with you. It's sexual, not intellectual. Hey now...some of us youngins appreciate intellectual conversation. There are things better than sex. As the great Dane Cook once said, we men would rather be in a heist lol. But yeah, I'm 18 and I'd much rather have a good intellectual discussion than bad sex. Ability for intellectual convo is easy to judge right off the bat. Sexual adeptness and creativity is harder to judge. |

While you are paying attention to the guy who is not interested in you, you are missing the ones who ARE noticing and paying attention to you.

Don't worry Moondark, You arent alone. I have the same issues. Then I feel bad because the ones that are interested in me are so not my type, and I have tried..Lord knows that I have tried, but I just cant do it. I have such a narrow mind about my type..it isnt typical of most girl's but I like my short, scrawny guys who are confident and smart. Tends to be a hard combo to find.
My cousin "hooked" me up with this guy that she thought was perfect for me..and despite my first impression, I tried it and tried it and tried it. Until it came time to sleep with him, I couldn't do it..I know, it sounds shallow, but He was so tall and big and hairy and I swear he was related to big foot.. |

it might be the ACT of winning them over, or the fact that YOU can't SETTLE for rejection from a man? But to boast of being hit on by young and old, would be that your ego is high and that You like THAT attention. Personally, your pic DRAWS dudes to YOU for only sexual desires, NOT YOUR INNER self at all... But "THIS" is just my thoughts here NOT A FACT, ok... |

Probably a lot of women have been through this, myself included. If a man isn't interested in me, I move on, and quickly. Although I've had thoughts of retiring from dating for life because there's simply too much bullcrap for me anymore.
