Picking up the soup bowl and drinking is normal in some cultures, I do it with miso soup cause that's the way it's meant to be drunk. It's also good manners to make some noise like slurping when eating soup noodle dishes in japanese restaurants.

SOME PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN KNOW HOW TO USE FORKS. THEY GRIP IT WITH A FIST LIKE APPROACH AND DIG THE FOOD UP...GEEZ
