Learned how to get up without taking off my skies I couldn't get the darn things off to stand up. But I only fell once. I definitely need a lesson, I'm not balancing right.

if memory serves it's just a wee bit forward of straight up like skates then a bit of side to side to let one ski float as you glide it forward. but not a bad start

Thanks, I'll try it again. Just need a few pointers while doing it. Do you like skiing? We have an ice skating and roller rink too. I do well with the roller skating, but had the same balancing problem with ice skating. My ankles don't seem to care for it either.

That would be my preference as well. Oh, I went walking out back of my dorm where the fire pit is. Further down the path is a pavilion and a little play ground, plus a teepee. I hung out there for a while, nice and peaceful played on the swing too. And found out that if you follow the animal tracks, you don't sink so much in deep snow. Lots of fox trails and found the bob cat trail.
