I am from afar,
Places no longer reachable,
And no longer remembered,
I am from joy,
I am from happiness,
A sparkle in one's eye,
I am from darkness,
I am from warmth,
Spending much time submerged,
I am from darkness disturbed,
I am from pain,
And sadness,
I am from learning...new things,
I am from excitement...of discovery,
And putting strange things in my nose and mouth,
I am from my mother,
I am from my father,
And the things they instilled in me...good and bad
