I've made the decision to delete my file and date the old-fashioned way.

I've found a link to "deactivate" my profile, but I want to completely delete it. So far, no one seems to know how to do this, but if someone out there does, I would appreciate the information.

The site does not have a delete function. You can close down the Mingle2 account by following this short series of steps: First, in order not to get anymore emails from us, uncheck the boxes on the following page, and click the 'Update Settings' button.

Then, you should remove any description that you added to your profile and purge all photos that you have uploaded.

Finally, you will want to deactivate the account, which will remove your profile from public view. You can do this here:

— If you are using our app, close down the account by going into Settings. From there, click 'Email Address' and make sure that both Mail Settings options are toggled off. After doing that, back out and reenter Settings again. Choose the 'Deactivate your account' option and follow the easy steps that will be presented to you.

When you have taken the appropriate steps above, the account will be closed and you will be unsubscribed.
