Hope you don't mind Judy, I took the liberty of starting Part 2 of this thread, the other was locked. I wanted to post this..
We're expecting freezing rain and frigid temps in this area this weekend. Last night...this morning I rescued a stray in our neighborhood that other folks around here shooed away. I couldn't keep him, but he is at the Humane Society where in my area they make every effort to find good homes for them, and tonight and this weekend he has a warm place to be and food and water. Folks...I've heard many say, they're just animals, they have fur, they'll survive. The fact is their fur, like our winter coats, can only do so much to protect them from the elements, and then there's the matter of food and water....They look to us humans, who are supposed to be smarter, to look out for them, provide for them, care and love them, they DEPEND on us. Please, during inclement weather, bring your pets in. If you see a stray, make sure they get some place warm and safe, have the basic of needs. They are not human, but they are living, breathing.....loving creatures. They deserve the best from us. |

Just animals???
Then they are heartless people. People who have been to my house (Ruth) know my animals are my kids...........heck they even sleep with me

Yep I totally agree... My dogs are like lil people to me.. they wont stay out longer than they hafta in this weather!! I would for sure, pick up a stray animal and get it to a shelter in a heartbeat!!

I'm the first one up in here??!! I even slept in this morning.
K- coffee's ready, and another pot brewin' all the fixins on the bar. Bagels and cream cheese and a dozen assorted donuts.... Enjoy! GET THE HELL UP!!
