List all the things you like
Then list why you like them Then figure out if you like them because you like them or someone else told you that you should like them. That'll get ya started. |

Dis is how... when a sign says "Wet Paint" touch whatever it is and if you get paint on your hand then you will discover that the sign is correct and if the paint is dry then the sign is incorrect.

Google your name and see what you find. If it's on the internet... then it must be true!
Good luck in your search and discovery... |

have yourself a little heart to heart talk

How can one discover him or herself? Well when I wanted to discover myself I would start by buying myself a romantic dinner.

How can one discover him or herself?
Couple of ways. 1. Spend a lot of time in isolation or on the internet. Figure out who you want to be. Then convince yourself that's who you are. Avoid or argue against anything that contradicts it. Set a lot of rigid routines and patterns that support it. 2. Spend a lot of time traveling around to different cultures and pay attention to the differences and how you react to them. Interact with a lot of strangers. Notice the similarities in how you respond in different situations. Threads of consistency, what resonates emotionally, what consistently triggers feelings. 3. Spend a lot of time developing relationships. Figure out who other people are. How they communicate. When/how they tell the truth, when they lie, when they obfuscate, and most especially why, what that means. Figure out their responses and the feedback they give you as to what it means regarding who they think you are, how they see you. Compare that to how you see yourself, who you think you are. Discuss insights with them. 4. Spend a lifetime and several fortunes on many different therapists. Pick the therapist that tells you what you want to hear the most, but seems the least like they're telling you what you want to hear. |

Live life to the fullest .. reject fear .. challenge yourself to try new experiences .. ...to question ...to reflect on how you handle or cope with situations.... learn from your mistakes and successes .... discover where your passions lie .. what speaks to the spiritual and creative you and embrace those connections. ^^^ This! Well said Blondey. I like that you included learn from your successes, a lot of times I hear people say learn from your mistakes and don't include the successes. I have been guilty of that as well. Yet it's so important that we do include them. Doing so helps us feel confident and more able to face any fears we might have when challenges come our way. Or a desire to try something new. It gives us a feeling and sense of self worth. Cheers! |
