I've tried repeatedly to add my photo to my profile, it's not happening.

are you sure they are in Jpeg,gif or bmp format?

also too you should go to your"MY PICTURES"
and have them resized by your computer, then you should be able to load them, or crop the sides to make them smaller, from some type of "EDIT" program...M. |

Maybe there's a technical problem between your computer and the site. I was able to ad photos to mine.
