it is connected at each end to each of two wheels 2 milk crates together in the middle of the two wheels fastened to the yokes that support the wheels middle of handle bars points forward to connect to bike |

I'm lousy with instructions, I do better if I can see it. I think I'm understanding, but how do I connect it to the bike?

creatively and able to turn just a bit to follow you prolly fastened to the rack at back

basically you'd take the front off of 2 bikes and take the handle bars off and keep the longest set of handlebars

Okay, I will think about it and how I might do that. Should be simple enough with all the stuff around here.
The one milk crate would be a lot easier though

Yes, that's a good point. The basket in front is sometimes too much but I have my arm strength to keep it steady. I could just put lighter weight stuff in the back for now.
