You really cant judge someone from a picture. Seriously. You're better off reading the profiles, etc. People wouldn't like it if the match screen chopped off their face when showing their picture. But you're the first to point out that it *does* chop off part of your personality - by only printing the first few lines of the profile. And when I click on the person's image, to go read their profile, I find that the match screen has 'issues'. Using the browser's 'back' button doesn't return you to where you were - and who knows who you've missed? I wonder if I missed 'her' - whoever she is ... |

Its a good concept but a lot of people dont bother with it really. I have 60 some odd matches..but i dont even mess with it anymore. You really cant judge someone from a picture. Seriously. You're better off reading the profiles, etc. I definitely read profiles before I make a choice on mutual match. That just seems sensible to me. In fact, I really wish that I didn't have to check the link and then back up to the Yes/No/Maybe buttons. It would be better if the entire profile showed up right there in the mutual match control panel. Once I found the forum I stopped bothering with mutual match. The forum works so much nicer to figure out who people are :) well unless they never talk on here The forum works okay if you're just looking for people with whom to chat. Reading the responses to a previous post regarding the "real" function of JustSayHi, that really seems like what most people want to do anyway. I have my preferences set up, though, so that I only see people who live within 50 miles of me. My hope for a tool like mutual match is that it would actually be useful in helping me to MEET people. And with that in mind, I haven't had a whole lot of luck with it. I have a couple of fresh matches who haven't read the emails that I sent to them yet, but for the most part, I've not received any more attention from people with whom I share a mutual match than from people I've emailed out of the blue. |

I get the distinct impression that people just click yes and maybe a whole bunch of times just so they don't accidently disqualify someone who might be interested in meeting them. So if a lot of people are doing this, it kinda breaks the whole system. I have met a very lovely girl through mutual match, it was like my first and the only one that matched up so I guess I'm just lucky. Now if she only didn't live so durn far away

You're right. I've done almost the same thing and heard back from very few, so it seems to be a waste of time. And, being a non-smoker, it's been very hard to find a man that doesn't smoke. |

Any idea why the people on your match list won't talk to you? Maybe the moderators need to overhaul the "mutual match" or delete it altogether. There's no point in having that doesn't work for so many people. |

My picture's not the best (I absolutely hate having my picture taken and always will), but it doesn't mean I don't have confidence in myself. Also, a picture's good for means of seeing if someone has a heart or spirit. Expressions can sometimes speak volumes. |

Do "issues" equal "garbage"? What's with that? Most people have gone through things in their life, unless they lived in a bubble. |
