so scoobs when is the mingle wedding reception/party?????
|

To be honest, I'm beginning to think it might just be a courthouse wedding, and no reception.
She and I are having problems finding the right spot to do our ceremony. Then as I've been looking into halls and stuff for a reception. I'm finding out that I really can't afford all of it. |

friends of mine found this great place at one of the state parks and it was super cheap.
beautiful stone pavilion with a big open kitchen area and a huge dining reception area. and the cost of the pavilion include use of the rest of the park facilities for the day. they even have camp sites for the diehards and the traveling in peeps |

We have looked at the state parks in our area. At least within an hour's drive. I don't want to get further than that, because I don't want to make all the guests have to drive so far.
Unfortunately though, we haven't found a state park or other park that has a lake with a nice view for our back drop. We both want to get married by water. Although, she has said, "We're not using the Maumee River as our backdrop. To hell, with that $#it brown river." Sooooo, the state park that is just down the road from us is out.... |

hi Scoobs! Glad to hear that things are coming along well for you. Iβm sure youβll find the perfect place Iβm waiting not-very patiently for my hubby to make it home tonight. Heβs stuck at the airport in Chicago right now, catching a much later flight into WV. . . But as long as he arrives safely is all that matters Btw... have you set the date yet? |

photographer.....sorry, that just cracked me up. On my budget, I thought I'd be doing good if I got someone to shoot a few photos that weren't on digital....

Hi Dee! Hope to hear that your hubby made it home.
Things are slowly going for planning. We did have a date in mind of June 13, 2020, but because we're having problems finding a location we want to use for the ceremony. We may hold off a year and go June of 2021. Then again, we might just do a courthouse wedding and no reception. Who knows? We don't yet....lol! |

still looking for locations.
Trying to figure this out with our different work schedules. Seems like when I have a day off, she has to work and vice versa. Least we're not on time crunch since we haven't set a date for certain. |

Scoob have y'all thought about just having a backyard wedding and reception? It's relaxed, casual and can save you a ton of money. You can rent any big items, tent, tables, extra chairs, even a arch or gazebo for the ceremony. String up clear twinkle lights and mix enough artificial with real flowers and you've got a romantic setting anywhere
