if you are a parent, you should be caring for your kids, regardless of gender
I expect parents to be parents, and I dont give them pats on the back for doing so also, if you are an adult, you should expect the fight/flight response from another adult if you put your hands on them, regardless of your gender I applaud those who have learned to tame the natural instinct to 'fight back', regardless of gender, I do not demonize those who have not 'regardless of gender' do you think in this culture that becoming increasingly opposed to 'labels' that the gender expectations on what is acceptable behavior for an adult will be homogenized as well? Or do you think we will still have gender based double standards, like how awesome it is for a father to do stuff with their kids or how awful it is for a man to ever put their hands on a woman? I mean, what is the rule for a man living as a woman if a woman picks a fight with him/her? Since he is supposed to be treated like an 'actual' woman, will he/she get a pass for fighting back? If not, than aren't we confirming that he/she is NOT a woman? |
