Topic: KNOWING GOOD FROM BAD. | |

I hope this doesn't get taken down. This can help a lot of people. If you are not sure if the one you are talking to is real or not, Try running their picture through this, https://www.tineye.com/
Open tineye in another tab. Drag the picture up to the TinEye tab, and drop it on the page. You will know in a few seconds. People should protect themselves while on line. This will help. |

Tineye's nice. Even easier, using Chrome, when you right click on a photo, one of the choices is "Search Google For Image." Helps a bit.
Do watch out, though. Just because someone's picture comes up, doesn't mean they are fake. You need to check where and why it shows up, to be sure. |

So not right, lol. 35 Thanks snagglepuss....not sure I really wanted to know you are ... welcome? btw it's not google, it's this site classifying women into cougars (based on age specified), BBWs (based on body type specified) and MILFs (based on whether any children specified). e.g. if i'm googling for the term "key largo cougars" (even without the quotes), the top result i get is from this site, where all you key largo cougars are bunched together and presented nicely for the discerning seeker ... |

"hai hru sax plz". |

Ah, I doubt it's the site, but it is false advertising! hmm so maybe it's google advertising for this site, creating that page that looks like it comes from this site ... yeah sure. never mind. |

Wow....I did a Google image search of my username, but my pic didn't turn up. What DID come up were the photos of a bunch of other forum regulars.
Tineye used to be better than it is now. I think the fakers have gotten smarter and more selective. There are other ways to pick up on them, but past experience has taught me not to post them in forums. Yes, the fakers will peruse the forums from time to time. They'll sometimes even 'ask for help' just learn our tricks. |

And just because someone's pic is not found by tineye does not mean it is legitimate either . One thing I think mingle should do is approve photos like other sites do .. photos should also be protected .. it is way to easy to copy anyone's photos from a profile .. that should not be allowed to happen . Why do photos loaded to a mingle profile also appear in google images .. that is also disturbing . Profile info and images should be only accessible by mingle users ., the password and user name really only protect private mail .. they do protect private mail right : Strongly agree, just because someone's picture doesn't show up on tiny doesn't make him/her not a scammer. |
