I need to stop watching the news. Just saw this - how awful.

A Mom and dad in Eastern Washington came home from work tonight, found their 8 y/o, 2 y/o and 4 month old baby dead from carbon monoxide poisoning and their 13 y/o daughter and 20 y/o boy cousin are in a hospital in Spokane in extreme critical condition with doctors trying to re-oxygenate their bodies.

A fuse had blown on a power pole and one of the kids had brought a generator into the small house to run an electric heater not realizing the carbon monoxide would poison them.

Please - if you have kids, teach them about carbon monoxide and generators and barbecues, etc.

Guess it makes me rethink my reasons for being depressed about the holidays. How horrid for this poor family. Please add them to your prayers. I don't even know their names as the news didn't give their name.

Thank you all for posting. I can't think of anything worse, and especially at this time of the year. How incredibly awful.

It makes a lot of our problems seem pretty small in comparison.
