Man, I'm still just... wow about the whole thing. They said some buildings in the Keys looked like they exploded. Yeah, it's been a rough year, my dad died last year on the day before her birthday and a week before their 50th wedding anniversary. I moved home and I had taken care of him under hospice for the last month or so of his life. I was the only one with him when he passed. At least he was asleep and was ready. He had even said he was dying and was ready two days before.

I don't think he really knew, maybe he did. Mom stayed up all night with him, I got up that morning and she went to lay down. Wasn't 10 minutes after and he was gone. I didn't realize it at first, he coughed and that was it. I cleaned his face off, checked his pulse, breathing, nothing. I know mom wanted to be with him, but I don't think he wanted her to see it...idk.. I felt guilty a long time that I didn't get her up sooner.. hell, I'm crying now.. Bbl
