---|---|
Good afternoon my loyal beautiful people of M2. Tomorrow is the 4th, i know you guys will either be with family & friends. Barbecuing some great food, or you traveling out of town. What ever you decided to do be careful & party on! Okay have you been following the Cosby Trial? Have you listen to the attorneys, testimonials from 50 victims, & the sleuth of negative contradictions from Cosby himself during the questioning of "did you give drugs to the victims & have your way as well?. Fast forward, Mr Cosby trial was a mistrial. America did he win round 1? You realize this aint the end of this mess. Did justice failed the victims of a powerful man sexscapade? Or did the court seen through the women game ? America how do you feel about Mr Cosby Mistrial? Did he win round one or he lost but just dont know ot yet? Lets talk!
All replies will be answered! Thank You. EyeAmYourHost39 |

EyeAmYourHost39,
Well i see it like this, i think its half & half. The real victims of Mr. America's Dad, the system failed them but only because the limitations ran out. Some say why wait 40 years to come out. The lawyers will contest that Mr. Cosby is very powerful and even so whose going to believe you. Dr Huxtable? No way. On the defense to Cosby some of those women had serious game maybe the courts saw it. |

Who cares?
A man had sexual experiences. He's rich and famous so he is a target. DUH I like Cosby. Not because he is funny (well, he is funny) but because he voiced common sense when his kid died. He alienated his race because he was pist that people were being so damn stupid. That took balls. I sometimes imagined that if he could he would smack the stupidity out of black America. Go Cosby, tell it like it is. Save the people from themselves. Now they will persecute you. as I said before... |

Tom4UHere,
Welcome back my friend. Well its nit a duh! These women are so convinced this man took advantage of them. If its game well time will tell. I believe not all of them are victims. To say duh we cant victimize the victim. Best believe this will go to trial multiple times before Cosby see peace again. |

Victim.
If someone does me wrong I want justice immediately. Cosby Perhaps this is a ploy to create Cosby infamy? Thing is, he already has infamy. Press How much of this is press initiated and sustained? Cosby took the black American to task. Basically asking why in the hell are you destroying yourselves? Up until that happened Cosby was a loved icon of black entertainment that touched with all Americans. Now, he is a no good that must be punished for being human. Sorry, I don't buy it. What little I saw on TV at dr offices made me say W T F? But go ahead, burn him. I mean, why not? |

Tom4UHere,
I agree with you but if he really did it then he pay for that. If he didnt then they would owe Mr. Cosby a hell of apology. You be destroying his legacy. You ladies would be defaming him and maybe you all need to pay him for at least defamation. Now thats only if they found they all lied. But then the bigger question why would you feel you need to give women drugs . i remember in my college days guys that give women a spanish fly in there drinks motives is to get lucky if you know what i mean. Why the drugs? |

Tom4UHere,
I like cosby too. He made me want a nice cold chocolate pudding pop before i went to bed as a child. He made me want to watch. Fat Albert. Then when the cosby show came about i loved it. Then this nasty allegations started i didnt want to see him to possible be the butt of this. I got to say it will be interesting to see how all this play out. |

Black America has been slapping the hell out a each other for a long time and it hasn't knocked he stupid out of them yet. They keep trashing their neighborhoods and shooting each other. Some of them got smart and moved out but to many it is just an expected way of life. Cosby probably did give some women drugs and put his pudding pop where it don't belong, but there is a reason for having a time frame as memory fades with time, and no doubt many jump on the gravy train for money, or fame. He'll be dead soon enough, and then so will the story besides those who go after his estate. |

He cannot win. His reputation is ruined regardless of any trial. Those who believe he is guilty would not change their mind regardless of a trial and neither will those who believe he is innocent.
As a rape survivor myself, I personally think this was some behind the scenes conspiracy crap with some very zealous lawyers and 'female rights' attorneys...jumping on the bandwagon to gather any and all females who had any contact with him and wanted their 15 minutes to follow the drug addict dickersons account and claim they had the same ,,,, guilt by numbers, no proof necessary, and truly no proof possible,,, |

It's not a matter of him "winning" or "losing" his reputation is mostly trashed. He did admit giving women drugs and having sexual contact with them. Thing is he's too old and has too much money to really give a chit I think. It's a sad sad story. The downfall of an icon.

Dust4Fun,
Welcome back, dont say who cares because there's women who follow my forums that may take allegations like this seriously. Yes its a bigger conspiracy in this. He's a powerful black man very loved throughout the world. A " Dark Crusaders" member. Yes he admitted to drugging and sex with numerous women but he never admitted to 50. |

Yes he just must a victim too. Let me say this. People throwing around him being black & wealthy. Listen to the naked eye it is racially and class wise. As long as you play the elite game you'll never be a butt of bad characterizations. This is happening because Cosby wasnt playing there game and he also got sloppy. |

I have a very old fashioned sense of justice, and of what is right and wrong. Not at all a popular one either.
I have always thought that if something is wrong, that it is wrong all the time, and not just when you don't like the person who did it. I also think that when something is wrong, that it doesn't become okay, because someone ELSE does it too, or because someone else pretends that it happened more than it did. So I can look at situations like this and see that it can be true at one and the same time, that a man committed heinous acts for which he should be punished according to the law, AND that some people can try to profit from it, and should be denied that, because it is also wrong. The idea that anyone should get a pass on ADMITTED violations of human behavior, just because they told some good jokes, or worse, just because they criticized OTHER people who chanced to look like them, for doing other bad things, is abject nonsense as far as I am concerned. |

I never said "who cares"and you are the one making this a "Black" thing. Its just like the OJ thing, a highly regarded black figure does something just awful and gets off because of their fame. Cosby's rep went out right after the mistrial and said they were going to teach young black men how to get away with sexual misconduct. The comments about slapping the stupid out of Black people was a fallow up to Toms reply. So often its let's find a way andtwist it on let's blame Whitey. This case has nothing to do with what color Cosby is, it has to do with a guy who gave drugs to women and then took advantage of them. It sounds like it was going on even before Cosby was a respected comedian, so I won't even say it was due to his fame. His name will always be tainted by this and he will be dead soon. He did some great things, and he did some really bad things, it just seems really strange that it has taken all these years for this to become an issue. |

Since this is off topic all over the place, i guess I'll put in my 2 cents worth.
I don't honestly believe Bill Cosby is innocent. I don't know enough about the case to say he's guilty. I believe there is a high degree of guilt.a case is not brought to trial unless therei s a degree of evidence. As for the statute of limitations. I know many will disagree but it's a sad thing in many instances that there is a limited time to prosecute. The victim in any sitiation has to deal with things for a lifetime. I was on 2 occasions a victim of 'friend' of the family who thoughthe could do as he pleased because i was a teenager and he was well respected in our little community. For a man things like this are iften a slap on the hand because boys will be boys. It's already been said in this topic, so he had sexual activities. So what? Sadly that's the posotion many people take. Unless it was your wife, daughter or sometjing. For a woman, especially many years ago there's stigma and shame. Unfortunately depending on the degree of the encounte, there are things that can't be proven. Groping. Someone trying to force themselves on somebody. That can't be lroven and it's your word against theirs. Yes he was a prominent man and well respected. And women back then maybe more often were told they were supposed to be more submissive, respectful, whatever you want to call it that kept them from coming forward. |

I agree, there is no way to know or prove, ESPECIALLLY with such a long passing of time consent or non consent
rape kits only prove sex , not consent so it is the hardest crime to prove, especially in a casual sex culture and in environments where drugs and alcohol are a regular routine in the casual sex environment, but I still am glad we have a system of innocent until 'proven' guilty, because as many victimized women as we have, we also have vindictive and materialistic ones,,,, |

It is he said/she said. That is what a trial is for. We don't know what really happened
