I was going to post a song of hers in the music thread earlier. On a Sunday afternoon between 4 and 7 a guy called John leach does a soul show. He was remembering her today as well as Luther vandross who died 12 years ago! Both were great I totally agree with you Mikey. I miss them both :( For sure. If you get a chance to listen online it's bbc radio essex 4 pm Sundays, although it's not on next week. He is such a knowledgeable guy with great interviews  I put a couple of Luther tracks on the 'what are you listening to 'thread earlier

EyeAm, I do not view your friends predicament as one of 'opposites attract', so much as one of an abusive and unhealthy relationship
I do believe opposites can attract if we look at ONLY one or two non vital things like, an introvert who is not very vocal may be attracted to someone who is extroverted and speaks up I believe that this happens because of the appeal of having a partner that 'complements' us,, or a partner who is strong where we are weak,,, but an abusive partner is just abusive, and whether they are similar to us or not,, we should RUN The other way when we encounter them

Yes she was madly in love with a very well radio dj personality, i wont say who it was but he didnt feel the same way about her and it crushed. Could you image that would of work in her advantage. Those with 2 eyes clear could see that would fail. See i grew up with women all around me so i know what women like her acceptance and what's she not going to allow. As a man i think like a woman all the time. Because of that it saves me from alot of heart ache and pain. |

Yes i did watch her documentary as well. Yes her mental illnesses maybe that made her emotional vulnerable to want to love hard. Not picking on her but i wanted to.bring up a point of uneven yolked love. |

Opposites invites chaos...so if you dont have similar likes, views and philosophies in life it is but difficult to even maintain the relationship in a balance...it will always be disaster, misunderstandings and worse is physical and emotional abuse.
