Yeh I'm heading north by northwest wide open across wisconsin right now. 40 mile an hour wind out of the northwest. Not a cloud in the sky. But that pink horizon tells me uh in about 10 hours you're gonna see a blizzard. And not at dairy queen.

No matter how much ya beg those blizzards are impossible to send. We tried. Sent some on dry ice to a freind on a 220 mile per hour medivac helicopter. Soft serve still melted in a little over two hours. But I can mail you butterscotch dilly bars. Mmmmmmmmm. They airfreight pretty well during the winter months.

When I was married we lived in NY not Wisc. Butterscotch is my favorite how did you know. I never had them either.

My uncle used to take me to dairy queen when I was a kid. It was kindof nostalgic and romantic and rebellious. It was a good time. A more loving time. Big family. Everyone close. More laid back time. 1969. My uncle had just come back from nam. Clean cut navy man. Tattoos. 1969 tattoos were cool. He raced cars too! That was cool. Just got done winnin the circuit races down in florida. He had three daughters and no sons. So he always treated me like one no matter how silly I acted. Summer o 69. My uncle got himself a new car. I was a little kid. Didn't know much about cars but I wanted to. I knew it was green. Dark green. And it was fast and mean sounding. And it had a horn that sounded like my favorite cartoon character the road runner. Well the car was a road runner. Beep beep. 69 road runner 440 6 pak. Uh 6 pack? Is it got a 6 pack of beer under the hood? No its got 3 2 barrel carburetors on it kiddo! Oh cool. Cmon kiddo let's go get some dairy queen! Windows down, me and my rebel uncle in the new road runner. 140 miles an hour down county road c the car seemingly coming alive. Up to dairy queen. Had me a butterscotch dilly bar. Because it was huge! And it was good. And I ate it all. Then we drove around scaring everyone with the fast car. Then went home. I can still smell my uncles winstons and the sweet smell of farmers fresh cut alfalfa with the windows down. My uncles retired. I see him he says "hey kiddo let's go to dairy queen". I say "yeaaaaahhh!"
