SILLY PEOPLE GO AHEAD ENGLISH TEACHER tell me I can't write AMS summary of events 24-July-07 Brian R, Chuck F, flew to AMS controls (StLouis, Mo.) to discuss equipment and TCP criteria Met; Jason, Jeff, Dave at AMS -Feeder used COE –AMS to interface with no problem -Every progression can be modified with controller -Type of pick-up mechanism – TCP to address -Need programming cut off each set up -Open loop recommended air ram only -Closed loop +/-.004 Cpk +2 conveyed by AMS -TCP specifications on controls Allen Bradley -Quotes supplied need to be turn-key -Suppliers responsible to support equipment at there cost if issues -4-6 weeks delivery to build consol w/die accelerator 30-July-07 Quote received from AMS 1-Aug-07 AMS Kicked off on building controller 1-10 Aug-07 Daily communications on machine expectations. Answering AMS questions and discussing timing. 9-Aug-07 AMS quoted expedited timing TCP kicked off expedite timing 14-Aug-07 Controller scheduled to be shipped Was not shipped until 17-Aug-07 Line sat Idle at TCP waiting for AMS drawings and equipment 17-Aug-07 AMS tech arrived to install control that was not here 18-Aug-07 Controller arrived late afternoon Evaluating controller and PLC First set of machine prints came in with shipment so no preliminary wiring was done PLC was a Siemens controller not AB to TCP specs (decision made by CF to move forward due to timing) 18-Aug-07 installation At this point 3 TCP tool makers and 2 TCP maintenance men were assigned to do nothing but work to help complete installation of controls on equipment. Brackets and mounting of AMS controls began 12-14 hour days were put in to complete the line to meet customer expectations of parts AMS tech (Matt) began evaluating drawings and pulling wires to controls AMS controls tech was provided a telephone to contact AMS engineering and any other support he may need via telephone from outside sources AMS tech was questioned daily on if there was anything TCP could do to help speed up the installation. Bring in more contractors anything it takes to meet our dates 21-Aug-07 all TCP equipment, mounting brackets, controls were in place and awaiting approval to connect power to machine. blah blah blah |
