yah been there. this pic is is from a BBC website. Actually I HAVE been there. Its almost impossible to grasp the scale of the mess without seeing it for yourself.

the silence was the most eerie part for me. No cars, no people, only the wind. Roads, cities, villages, ststues, but no one there.

there are rows and rows of helicopters, busses, fire trucks, bulldosers, Military trucks, ect ect ect. as far as one can see.

yah it was state of the art in its day. several million dollars apiece im sure. There must be 50 of em that i saw abandoned. This one looks like someone was in the process of taking the rotor blades off but they never finished.
