Topic: how to separate schmucks | |
---|---|
It's no secret that women on online dating sites, especially attractive ones with pictures get tons and tons of emails. I've heard the complaint from some of my female friends that a lot of these are just cookie cutter, mass spam, shot gun approach (you know spray enough shrapnel and you'll hit it eventually).
There are "nice" guys and by nice I mean guys who really want to get to know you to see if something clicks. These guys read your profile in it's entirety and think about what to say to you. Yes, we exist, you know, guys who can read above a grade school level and comprehend information. So to help out these guys and to knock down the scumbags a bit here's a tip. Somewhere in your profile add a line that says "if you're going to email me insert this phrase in the subject line - manatees look funny. or whatever line you want to use. That way you can filter out people who don't actually read your profile. |

One can also tell from the specific points mentioned in the message as an indication of a person's genuine interest, versus the generic, "Hey, what's up?" sort of talk.

One can also tell from the specific points mentioned in the message as an indication of a person's genuine interest, versus the generic, "Hey, what's up?" sort of talk. Yeah but I have a friend who was doing the online thing, very cute friend, she was getting over 100 emails a day, I think you underestimate how many email messages girls get. Imagine trying to open and read 100 emails, this way they can look at the subject line and delete or read without opening every single email. |
