I had a friend that came off all of his diabetic meds but it was due to he lost a lot of weight and no longer needed them..

To be honest playing with your meds by stopping them cold turkey then starting them back up at the same dosage if not needed, is dangerous to the system...

Some meds are not meant to stop cold turkey..I would suggest to seek out a new Dr. in order to get re evaluated on your meds then trying to play around with what you have...

If you have stopped drinking soda's that alone could make a big change in your sugar levels and possible need to be re-evaluated again to see if your dosage might need to be adjusted..

By taking the same dosage when not needed can in fact be a factor why you was not feeling good on them...

Are you sure the blisters are from being a diabetic and not shingles instead??? As I said to self Dr ones self is not always the best way...Not all Dr's are up to date at times and it is best to get a second opinion due to the meds they have you on..

I suggest to call your Dr or a new one and be checked out... Sure many are pill pushers those you need to stay on top of all the meds they give you to make sure what the side effects could be... And get with a Dr you feel is listening to you and not just pushing pills...

Great advice, Thanx

I called my Dr and the soonest they can get me in is July.
No history of shingles but the rash looks exactly like the pics for bullosis diabeticorum.

Dr did recommend a hydrocortizone cream which I will pick up today.

Shingles is something that anyone can get as they get older... If one has had the chicken pox it lays dormant till you get older... Not all get the shingles but some do...

They do have a shot you can get at Walgreens for it but not recommended if you are breaking out with something and not sure what it is..

Have a friend that is in his 40's and have dealt with many battles of the shingles.. They come up like blisters and itch like crazy... But then so do bed bugs... So just cause it seems what we think it might be online it is not always the case...

What he suggested will help with the itching but it will not be a full solution..

Bed Bugs?! (Shudder)
Tearing my bed apart to look!
Gawd I hope not! Nobody has been in my bed but me in a very long time.
They don't just spontaneously genenerate do they?

On my meds again, itching not as bad already.
Picked up some hydrocortizone 10 cream.
That stuff burns on the ones I scratched open.

Hahaha on the bed bugs no you have to get them from somewhere else and bring them home...

Was just giving them as a example as far as the lesions that have came up.... That even what we think we may have could be something totally different...

Ohh yea it does burn a bit on open sores... Not sure with your meds if you can take Benedryl or not but that always helps with itching...One normally takes care of that... all depends if they mess with your meds you are already taking...

If so then oatmeal in a old sock tied throw it in the bathwater let it get mushy then pat all over and let your skin air dry.. Works wonders for itchy skin used it for both my kids and grand kids when they got the chicken pox to keep them from itching and it works great...
