I think the warriors get all the glory, but its the engineers who change the world, electricity, light bulb, computers, email etc.

I think the warriors get all the glory,
Do you think warriors "get all the glory" because they do something good and laudable? Do you think warriors "get all the glory" because they do something bad, that others don't want to do, as a form of compensation so other people don't have to do it? And over time, extolling the virtues of the behavior have become an automatic response making it appear as though they get the glory, rather than need the glory to make the job desirable. its the engineers who change the world, electricity, light bulb, computers, email etc
There was an interesting article not too long ago that touched on feminism. One idea touched on was there seems to be such a focus on women in the military, women CEO's, women in position of power in government, but almost nothing regarding more women in construction, more female plumbers, more female trash collectors, sewage specialists. The basic jobs that are critical for everyday life to keep moving. |

Glory in war is something made up by fat old men in offices who send out young men to die for profit. |

There can be no more a selfless person than one who is willing to lay down his life for the sake of downtrodden people around the world. I think they deserve all the plaudits they get, who else is brave enough or crazy enough to face the likes of Isis. This applies to all Countries, not just my own. |

I like those warriors who fought for the just causes such as in WW2 where my grandparents fought. On the other hand I get turned off by all those social justice warriors, especially those funded by Soros.
