For.. myself I'm on a local dating site here in my city... well okay it's all over the globe I would imagine.. but it's catered to me here..lol...
When I first went on a dating site I had no clue what to expect... like so many I was hopeful my partner to be would find me.. or I would find her right away.....
What I was not prepared for was the overwhelming amount of responses to my profile....
And how hard it would be to search and sort.. through all the noise.. and Bs... I was clueless on how many women have so many problems...
How many women just want intimacy and nothing more... how hurt they were inside... how many women are truly needy and clingy...
How many women are insecure in who they are....
How many women have daddy issues..
How many women that have been used and now only want to use back..
How many women say one thing but mean another...
How many women have the fairy tale of Fifty Shades of Grey .rolling around in their noodle....
How many women are jaded from their past relationships..
How many women are too sentimental and j

How many women that are looking for Prince Charming to ride up on that white steed..

Only two overlook Prince Charming riding up on a mule....lol...

But I remain hopeful that normal exist.... I have learned that there is a whole lot more crazy out there than normal... but one or two dating sites is a very small cross section of reality...
That's why I always walk out the door presentable and with a bright smile on my face and a good attitude..

Because i never know ..one day that special lady won't just asked me to reach something off the top shelf at the grocery store for her ...she will actually asked me... how my day is going...

But sadly within 10 minutes of talking..with them.... crazy comes out of them.... oh my boyfriend hated cantaloupe... oh I don't like cantaloupe... my dad used to force-feed me cantaloupe . I really miss him ...are you trying to say those cantaloupes are like breast..lol...

I do understand. However, you took 2 minutes of your time to see this person was unstable... Not a large investment of time. The same determination might have taken 2 hours or 2 days or 2 weeks online. Do keep the faith and understand things like reality and time management.

I'd say online attempted dating, is more like a slow, drawn out process of a 5 course meal.
You've had your appetizer, salad, and soup. Now waiting on the main course that seems to be taking forever to prepare, while watching others get their desserts.

I don't think we should put effort to find a partner. It happens when you are ready for this.

I signed here because of curiosity. Had never tried online dating and had no expectations. And after couple of weeks after signing I met someone here, a very special friend. In real life I would've never met him, because of distance. We just happened to be on the right time in the right place, which was Mingle2 in my case.

And I'm very grateful for other friends I've found here too... with no effort.

Yes, I agree, these things should happen organically. I'm not a big fan of LDR's, but I wish you all the best and hope yours is a happily ever after story.
