Missing you, wondering,
Did you conk
yourself on the head and forget?

Has amnesia stolen
What might have been
Before it even grew to recognition.

Trolling through my memories.
Viewing some in your face
On a screen.

Reading the words of my mind
Across your face stilled in time.
Worry flits throughout my thoughts.

The shadow of a panther lying along your cheek,
A crowd of ancestors observing from across the room,
And a shaft of brilliant light over your head.

The words I crave suddenly pop into my brain,
“I’m okay”.
Rivulets of relief cascade down……..Good to Go!
