May be go to events for those with impaired hearing, which you probably already know, when I was learning sign language as part of the course us the students were taken to some of your social events and we were surprised at how kicking they were.

Online dating is a weird psychological experience, there's probably nothing that beats going up to a girl and actually talking to her or perhaps signing in your case if that's what you do, the old traditional way.

I've been through quite a few date sites paid and free and I've got a pretty good idea now that they aren't really working for me. So your not alone on that one, hearing guys having it hard to.

What really surprised me on another site, I bumped into a really pretty woman who said she hardly got any messages either, I nearly fell off my chair. "No way" I said.

Thankfully I never meet my first partner this way or I'd have turned into a monk or something.

Mingle for me works better in the form of its community forums, personally I've found my posts and articles get read more often here than specialist sites, which feels more encouraging.

Think of your situation in this way: some women shy away from a relationship with a deaf man the same way some men shy away from a woman who's a breast cancer survivor--possibly not morally correct, but reality.

My experience so far is not great out of the 68 matches or view only 5 are real women the others are all fake. That is a massive ratio difference. I really do feel this site could do more than ot does to stop fakes. There is obv a bot searching for email addresses etc. But it's easy to get around by typing geemail instead of gmail etc. I am not impressed at all. If you pay for a service you expect a service. I am not exaggerating when I say when going through match only 1 in 25 are real. This may not be the same for the women on here but I have not read a male yet saying this isn't so. Very frustrating.

Are you emailing the women or just waiting for them to email you? A lot of women are uncomfortable making the first move. Also are you just emailing young highly attractive girls? I don't mean that to be insulting,but, using myself as an example: I'm 33 with a few extra pounds and I realize if I go after only 20 year olds who look like underwear models, I probably wont get a response. Yeah it sucks but thats how it is.
