That's the same age difference as my greatest variance in a relationship... I was 22 and was actually referred to as her "pet" a few times... I really hated that phrase, but she made up for it every time in the most incredible ways... lol

Now that I'm 41 though, I've noted that it doesn't seem to work as well with gender reversal... If I dated a 23 yr old woman... I might feel the as though I were the luckiest stud-muffin out there; but it seems that a lot of my peers (both genders) would consider me as something near a molester...

I admit... this was the topic at a bar one Thursday afternoon... and the funny part is... each of us looked at it in a positive light if it were us dating the much younger, but the rest all made comments along the lines of... "Stay the h_ll away from my daughter!" (although I don't have one... lol)

Recalling that discussion, now... months later... I'm just resigned to finding a 36-44 yr old lady that still looks somewhat and has the energy of a 23 yr old... (there's got to be one out there... I still think I'm 25... LOL)

No, Derrik, you all look great. I feel a little uneasy when a man (or woman) exposes too much flesh right off the bat. Leave a little to the imagination. I wouldn't want anyone going for me just because of my looks, anyhow.

Well, if a women looked like Mr. Explody then I would probably be scared. Course, if I am at a bar and have had wayyyyyyyyyyy too much to drink, then I might on Miss Explody. Under the influence, I am capable of many things.....sometimes they are disturbing. Yeah, you should probably dismiss that last part.

Now, I am 34, and I see that lily36 is, I'm guessing, 36. Two years older than me and I have no problem with that. Hell, I have met women on here in there 40's that I would cause they are all supercool. And thank goodness none of them looks like Miss. Explody.

i've dated older guys..hell my Xhubs is 44...13 yrs difference..

while we were dating..it never mattered, it was only a number..period

however, things changed and it became an issue..

if you're compatible, and THAT into eachother, it won't matter at all..it's when you're not, that age becomes an issue

I date the PERSON, not the age.

I find I don't have much in common with MUCH younger men

But then again, I don't have much in common with much OLDER men.

Its all about "balance" and who I want to be with. Age is not the determining factor.
