Thank you!! You guys have mentioned some really great things here for me to keepin mind! I am not a bar fly and don't even manage to get out more than once a month to six weeks. I am not desperate to meet somebody which is why I have been "single" mom for 4 years. I do go out with my friends on occasion because they are great people that I love dearly!

While I don't go to the bar to pick up men, it would be nice to make sure that while I am there I am approachable to the right type of person.

Of course I do! Although I am a point in my life that I don't need a man to complete me but it would be really nice to have a companion and friend!

i have been in this situation in the past

a couple with a single lady with them

north carolina if my memory serves my right

they were at the next table

and not sure what was said but they were trying
to figure something out

and of course upon hearing of the dilemma
had to try and help

cause that is just how i am of course

we ended up talking most of the night but had to be knoxville
for an early appt.

but hey it was a fun evening

the only way to know is to get involved
when the opportunity presents an opening

what is the worst that can happen
you get asked to not bother them
that is not a big deal

but who knows maybe she will be your next x

I have never been intimidated by a woman in a crowd, or by a woman at all. I have always thought he worst that can happen is she is not interested. My ego is not fragile. But then if you pay attention to her body language and whether or not she as noticed you, it makes her much more approachable.

If I look her way a few times and see her looking back I think she may have an interest in at least talking to me. I look for a reason or chance to approach her and just say hello. If I can get her to strike up a conversation, great we can see where it goes from there. Its really not to hard to tell where she is coming from if you pay attention. Of course, you have to watch out for the " I am just here for the free drinks from guys" women.

As for her looking desperate, no, not to me. To me, she is a woman that doesn't let not having a date stop her from being with her friends and having some fun. To me that smacks of a woman that is secure in her own skin and that is a VERY attractive quality to me.

Hint to the guys, often the most beautiful women get the least number of men asking them out because they think she is out of their league. Both Sandra Bullock and Tricia Helfer have said that in interviews. Both now have sig others.

Well....If i saw her out with a bunch of couples and she was a loner......it would probably mean that I too, was out with a bunch of couples and a loner......so ......we would be livin parrellel lives....lol.....must be perfect for each other....

I think what I need to work on is my body language. I tend to get in my "group" and just have so much fun with them that is where my focus lies.....

Maybe if I took more time to look around and focus on eye contact as well as other things then the people I was interested in talking to would approach me ....rather than the ones that I am not interested in....

Mrs. Teddy they are my best friends and have been for years! If they were going to play match maker it would be with someone that was worth my time to meet!! We all have the highest regard for each other.....

I would think she is sick of staying home, and just wanted to go have fun with friends. If there wasn't a horde of friends around her and I could reasonably make my way to talk to her I would.

Well for the most part I do just want to get out of the house and have fun with my friends! At the same time it would be nice to know that I was not totally unaproachable while doing it....
