Might want to run to the store after all and get some TeaTree Oil.
Hopefully its not an abscess; if so, you may need it surgically drained and then the Doc would give you something oral to kill the infection. All the best!! |

Neem is a good anti-bacterial extract. It can be found as a liquid, oil, or encapsulated dry.
You could try a silver hydrosol, though, which would be my primary mode of defense. Silver's molecular vibration is at such a high frequency that anaerobic bacteria (the kind you don't want!) and viruses cannot survive in its presence, just like crystal is known to shatter at high frequencies. Essential oils like tea tree and lavender are effective but should be diluted by a carrier oil like olive or sweet almond because they're very potent. Take care of yourself......a pro-biotic with a high microbial count of several billion per dose would help, too! :) |

Wash it out with straight peroxide, followed by warm water. Then again in awhile, with 50%peroxide and 50% water. Keeps it from causing a burn like problem. Peroxide is best for pulling out infection in a hurry. I also use Aloe Vera Leaf and peel the outer layer off, then rub it into the sore or, place a chunk on said sore then wrap it. It will numb it mildly. But, do continue to use peroxide for a couple of days. Wash with Dial soap often. That is what most Drs. will tell you.
Silver is a natural antibiotic. There are salves with silver in them. It is great. Also, Neosporin is very good if you can get it, then band aid it also. Good luck honey. Kat |

"Exposing wounds to iodine, alcohol, peroxide, and pure salt is no more effective than water irrigation at preventing infection and can potentially damage tissues."
Who knew. I've heard regular tap-water (that is treated) is usually your best bet for what you'll have at home if no topical anti-biotic is available. Not to say I know better than anyone else, but is it really a good idea to put any type of non-sterilized herb/substance into a wound? |

really amp? Hmmm I guess that is a good point.
I just can't stand not being able to move my arm without tremendous pain. I wish I had some neosporin since it seems like the majority answer. |
