gone through or is going through, just getting to know someone, with only a couple of emails back and forth, then being downloaded with all the stuff the person is going through, and finding yourself lost for words, they get mad at you, delete themselves, come back with apologies, or send hate mail?
Why can't people put their troubles aside, for the time being then get to know one another before all this stuff comes flying out at you, it kind of sends you into a whirlwind, and makes you back off from even trying...called; to much information, all of a sudden. Just asking is all, I know there has to be some comfort for the ones that may be dealing with this or at least we can get together to chat about it here, not mentioning any names please, just to voice it,.... |

What's weird is when someone e-mails you and throws their laundry list of problems at you. You play "nice person" by answering their e-mail with some helpful advice and a few words of encouragement. Next thing you know, they send you another e-mail, this time claiming that they are in love with you and want to marry you.
I used to have a policy of "will answer all e-mails", because if someone takes the time and effort to send you one, you should have common decency to at least send some sort of reply. Not any more. Now, I screen my e-mails (and the sender's profile) VERY carefully. I send out a lot less replies these days. |

I know, can't imagine why this is happening...doesn't anyone know that this is no way of getting a relationship going...too much so fast, or saying, "okay guess your busy with all your friends, I won't bother you no more" What do you say to that???????? |

Id say bye and find someone else!!! But, to that may I add, they have a problem and it's legit, but it's all of a sudden and you don't want to be rude and seem uncaring, so in return you tell them to come out into forums for community support, so they may get responses from someone whom might know of there problem or is going through it, better yet, get, advice or prayers, or some encouragement, but instead, they depend solely upon you.... |

thats a pretty heavy load to carry on your shoulders!!!

Or when you're replying to an e-mail or posting in the forums, and someone you don't know wants to IM you. You decline, and go on with your business. The next thing you know, you just got a VERY nasty e-mail from that person.
A lot of us know each other from the forums. Some of us e-mail occasionally. That doesn't mean we want to chat on IM with people we've never heard of who are 5,000 miles away. |

It's a load that so many I think here is carring, I haven't had ppl. I meet in real life come out with this stuff, instead you meet go for a walk make small talk, enjoy each others company, plan another date, or not...but not heavy stuff...like this, espeacially when you have your own problems to deal with on a daily basis...

I think that those are the people that need more support and help then anyone on this sight is able to give, they need comfort and reassurance that they arent going to be left behind......at least that is in my opinion

I too feel sad when someone pours there heart out to me. And being in the "people pleasing" business that I am, I want to FIX it for them,, YIKES gotta get over the disapointment before you put yourself out there again. I for one, would not want someone to like me cause they had pity,,, |
