How does a deactivated account come up in the search filter? If I set a search for members online I often get a profile that when I click on it is deactivated. Why?

People showing deactivated either left on their own or the site booted them for rule violations

I was matched with someone and when I tried to send a message it said she was deactivated.In a time span of 3-4 minutes.Matched,try to message,deactivated.It's straight up BS!!!
