Who Can Measure Love?
By Devon Riggan They taught her love hurts; love is pain, robbing her of innocence With their masquerade, their game. But who can measure love... Its depth, its width, its height? She searched the whole world over Hoping there was more to life. At last she found herself at the river's edge staring at her own reflection, It was then she felt her heart swell with self love and affection. She let the wind wipe clean her memory... the current wash away her affliction. Again she thought, Who can measure love, its depth, its width, its height? She searched the whole world over never dreaming it'd be herself she'd find, Now knowing there is more to life. For her love knows no conditions, It is precious, priceless, and cannot be measured. Cannot be captured or bound. When she looked within herself, True unconditional love was found. For who can measure love, its depth, its width, its height. She searched the whole world over and found there is more to life than strife. |
