In this case, it's someone working in the entertainment business. That's all about appearances. On some shows, the target audience will be people carousing at bars; for another, the target will be families at home, with a mixture of ages and interests.

In this case, the show that employed Mr. Bush thought that it was important that he NOT come off as someone who approved of or tolerated behavior as was illustrated on that tape, so they suspended him.
