Am i the only one who does not believe in the whole "soul mate" thing? Everyone keeps saying they are looking for their "one true love". Personally, i think that's putting a lot of pressure on another person. I have no desire to be a "one true love" - and i am not looking to "complete" anybody. I have multiple soul mates - everyone who contributes to my life in a big way is a soul mate in my book. Does anyone agree with me?

I do not really get the whole "soul mate" things since what if your soul mate lives on the other side of the country or world then how do you find them? Are you guaranteed to cross paths? I dont get it.

I don't think that there is one specific person out there who is absolutely perfect for me and that my happiness hinges on finding that person.
I do, however, believe that one or more (probably MANY) women out there have traits that will help me to be the best man that I can be and that I have traits that will help her to be the best woman that she can be. |

everyone touches our lives...some good and some bad....but they become part of us.....who we are and become......there is no "soul mate"........just a mate for the soul.

I once had a guy tell me that all he cared about was making me happy. And i said "Well tough guy, you need to find a hobby". I just think it's preposterous. My life is outstanding in every way. If i have someone to cuddle at nite, that's cool. But if not, that's cool too, cuz i have two kickass puppies.

CBFraser, you told your guy that he needed some hobbies, but I have to admit that I identify with him. I don't think that I would go so far as to say that it's "all that I care about" but serving the people that I love is very important to me. When I get married, I'd like to use "to serve in love" as part of my vows to my wife.

i agree to this topic, there are so many people in this world, there has to be multiple "soul mates" otherwise my "soul mate could be in Indonesia and i'm not planning on going there any time soon
